About KitchenScale

A little precision for a better recipe

Useful tools, clear boundaries

A focused workbench

KitchenScale brings recipe numbers into the open. It distinguishes US and metric cups, states ingredient-weight conventions, and treats pan changes as an area problem. It offers a useful starting point that respects the cook: recipes do not all scale automatically.

What you can do here

The current collection includes recipe scaler, cooking volume, cups to ingredient weight, oven temperature, round pan scaling. Each tool has its own page, a worked example, and a clear explanation of its method.

How results are produced

The site uses JavaScript for local calculations and plain HTML for guides and navigation. No account is needed. We label assumptions and check inputs, while acknowledging that floating-point arithmetic, rounding, and real-world conditions affect how a result should be interpreted.
