How oven temperature works
Convert oven temperature and estimate a user-selected adjustment.
Formula and convention
F = C x 9/5 + 32. Adjusted C = recipe C - chosen reduction.A worked example
180°C is 356°F. A 20°C reduction gives 160°C or 320°F.
Scope and precision
The reduction is a user-selected assumption, not a universal fan-oven rule. Follow recipe and appliance instructions.
Displayed results may be rounded. Inputs are processed locally and are not stored by this site. Keep the original values if you need to reproduce the result.
Why might another tool give a different result?
